In the final unit of my Humanities class, "Stories," we delved into the Hero's Journey, exploring how both real and fictional heroes undergo transformative journeys that shape them and leave lasting impacts. Our focus was on understanding how different art forms narrate these journeys and the unique ways in which we each walk our own Hero’s Journey. We watched  The Goonies , visited the American Writers Museum, and explored the colorful "Ofrendas" at the National Museum of Mexican Art, each of these experiences giving us fresh perspectives on storytelling. The exhibit "Our Stories, Our Voices" at the Field Museum stood out to me personally, providing a powerful look at personal histories and identities. For my Action Project, I chose to map out the journeys of two heroes who have profoundly inspired me: Vice President Kamala Harris and T’Challa, the Black Panther. Welcome to my AP Project on Population Dynamics In this unit, we explored the principles of population growth and how they vary across species and periods. My focus was on rabbit populations and their comparisons to human population trends. Through this investigation, I delved into the factors that drive population changes, such as periods of rapid growth and phases of decline. The video below offers a comprehensive overview of my findings, including the math equations that model rabbit and human population growth. These equations reflect the geometric sequence I applied to calculate the data in my graph, where each subsequent value is derived by multiplication or division – a core concept in population modeling. We learned a great deal in this unit in our Spanish 2 course. We learned about new conjugations and how to apply them in conversation. These new conjugations include -ar -er -ir verbs as well as ser and estar. Learning these expanded our potential for sentence complexity, and allowed us to try more new and fun sentences. We also learned about comparatives and superlatives to further describe something. Finally, this action project was to create a travel brochure for the country of our choice. We had to apply what we had learned and creatively present it. This action project was honestly my favorite. It was very interesting to apply what I had learned and to refresh my brain on the subjects. I honestly loved researching Spain, I really hope you enjoyed learning about Spain like I did.
