Where can the FAO go wrong?

In this unit or Food for Thought, I experienced tasting, smelling, and feeling coffee beans. Although I did like it, it opened my eyes up to the deeper meanings of coffee getting a sense of what coffee is, deeper than just plain old coffee beans. One other thing I experienced was going on a FE to Metropolis. I learned where coffee beans come from and where certain types of coffee are made where they come from.  For this unit, we made a version of a UN position paper that focused on SDG 2 zero hunger. We all chose our own target to report on, I chose SDG 2.4 - ensure sustainable food production systems. Here is my script. Script:  The FAO 12th Annual Conference on Food Crisis. On behalf of the representatives of the United States of America, I Ambassador, Marshal, am glad to address this esteemed commission. For as long as we can remember, food has always been important and beneficial to the survivability of humans. An estimated 811 million people went hungry last year, and the world h

The doll that gets me

The goal of this action project was to make a quitapena doll. foremost we had to make a sketch of what we wanted it to look like first. We then had to construct the quitapena doll using string, glue, pipe cleaners, material, tape, and paper. After we were done making the doll the next task was to say the terminology of what the garments and color the quitapena doll was wearing and also discuss what feelings the doll can take away. I learned about a bunch of different fabrics and materials used to create the quitapena doll. What I found most difficult about this assignment was using the e-> ie and the o-> ue verbs. It was confusing and hard for me to figure out how and which words to use on. What I am considerable proud of about this project was how good of a job I d id to create my quitapena doll. I was really focused and worked very hard to make it.  L.G.J Completed Quitapena Doll, 2022 L.G.J Sketch of Quitapena Doll, 2022  Lleva un vestido azul, rojo y blanco. Me gusta leer Du

Did this mean to happen?!

Welcome to my blog! In this unit, we started off by learning about micro/macronutrients. We then moved into looking at different types of nutrients. We then started to bake, first, we started off by going back to the scientific method. I made two hypotheses, the first being the banana bread experiment. I said that our bread with the brown sugar would leaven more than the one with molasses. I made a second hypothesis about the brownies (shocker I was wrong) I believed that even though we used flaxseed the brownie would leaven more than the one with yogurt. We then learned about the effect of cooking food. When you cook the food you get even more nutrients out of it. We then started to learn about something called t he food hypothesis the idea that human brains evolved with the help of cooking and denaturing our food. In this process, is believed that people got access to more of the nutrients our brains need allowing us to become smarter. In this unit, I made cornbread. I changed the

A not so healthy relationship.

In this unit in Healthy Relationships in Shakespear,  we started off by reading/watching Othello. We had to assess whether this was a healthy relationship. It took quite some time to figure out which "Healthy" relationship I was going to choose. In the end, I decided to go with "Desdemona, and Othello". It took me a while to see that this couple who were almost certainly destined to be apart but yet somehow ended up together, didn't deserve each other. Othello was most certainly the lover type but he lacks control of his anger. Othello furthermore was destined to fail. He let his jealousy and his anger get the best of him. Yet even as Othello was lied to about the misdeeds of his wife, he seemed to believe the baseless claims. Here are the criteria of what makes a healthy and unhealthy relationship.  Healthy relationship:  • Mutual respect.  Respect means that each person values who the other is and understands the other person’s boundaries. • Trust.  Partners s
